Reflections of Florence

Reflections of Florence

View of the Arno River to Ponte Vecchio, Florence. No, I didn't take this from the front of a graffitied concrete boat sailing up the river, it's one of the support piers from the bridge I'm standing on, lol. I was amazed to see groups of young people gathered on these piers at night, in almost pitch darkness, eating, drinking, smoking and generally having a good time, just inches away from a sheer drop into the river below! Great composition work Paul.  So many folk just leave a blank/bland river in the middle but using the graffitied support pier is a stroke of genius.  Well done, Steve.

I like the composition you got here with the reflections in the water and the angle the picture was taken from. I also like the contrast between the bucolic view and the pier plenty of graffiti. Cheers, Sallyh.
