I agree with the above - cracking shot - I especially like the way the lefthand bale has caught the light. Howard

Fantastic shot Paul - it reminds me of one of the Old Masters' paintings. The sky is beautiful and I love the wonderful textures and subtle colours you've captured here. Have been out on the hunt for the big bales around West Sussex today but all the farmers seem to have opted for little shrink-wrapped oblong bales - might be more practical for them, but naff all use for photographing! Kind regards, Anna

I agree with Howard, I love the sun in this sky and how its light is being reflected off the one bale. Another stunner, Paul! Well done - cheers Jo

Paul - this is amazing - like Anna I went out looking for bales last weekend but all the farmers round here wrap them in black plastic and they look like big black puddings. Not as classy as yours by a long way. I love the colours and the efect you have achieved - super shot - cheers - Nick

Thanks for all the great comments, really appreciated. Anna & Nick: I know what you mean about the shrink wrap. I'm not sure why, but in the last couple of years the farmers down here seem to have reverted back to the more traditional ways, long may it continue! Rgds Paul
