Start Me Up

Start Me Up

I washed the car at the weekend for the first time in about 6 months. I thought I'd mark the occasion with a couple of shots of the gas guzzling beast. My first attempt at automotive photography and a good excuse to try out a new canon 10-22mm lens, since I've fallen out of love with my moody Sigma 10-20! Click image for a larger view.

Super shooting, Paul. Interesting to see you've moved to the Canon 10 - 22. How do you find it, compared to the Sigma (when not moody!)? Cheers, Col

Thank you all for your great comments, much appreciated. Sally: My rates are very reasonable! Linda: We have a KA too, the coolest, quirkiest car that Ford have ever made, perhaps I'll have a go at shooting that next! Colin & Helen: My Sigma was a 'fairweather' friend, it had a mind of it's own, particularly in low light! The Canon is sharper, faster and more consistent, it also has much better contrast and colour rendition IMO.  Rgds Paul

Cars are not my thing, but you drew me to this shot when others would have left me cold with such a subject.  Congratulations Paul.
