Up in the Clouds

Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore - (Duomo - Florence). The colossal scale and supreme craftsmanship of this Cathedral is quite overwhelming, started in 1296 and completed 170 years later, it absolutely dominates its surroundings in the centre of Florence. Click image for a larger version.
