stillness

stillness

The beautiful Elk Island in Canada. This must be Bob's favourite place! Thanks for taking us there in the evening. The reason, why Bob didn't have his tripod was because he had lent it to me :-D. This was my last shot of the evening when it was almost completely dark and everyone else finished shooting only me taking my time :-) but I have to say that everyone was patiently waiting and they didn't leave me there to turn adrift. Wayne had to hide in the car though as he was followed by a thick black cloud of mosquitoes. I really loved the stillness of the air and water and watched the disappearing storm in the distance. Thanks Bob for showing us this amazing place!

Zuzana - brilliant shot, and you got a super angle here from the higher ground - I love the lead of the sky both directions with the reflections, perfect comp - much better than mine, and should have been front page if I hadn't posted first. I'm sorry.  Bob

Beautiful shot Zuzana, if I let my imagination run I can see a hedgehog leaving a vapour trail as it crosses the horizon! if my senses return I would say that the simplicity, serenity and colours of this shot are amazing. Stunning location. Rgds Sharon

What a great shot! Love the blue colours, lead in lines both in the sky and water, and one can almost "hear" the silence. I'm eager to see more photos from our five "canadian" photographers.
Keep them great shots coming! Best wishes - Jan

A gorgeous shot Zuzana and even better when viewed expanded - I really like the detail of the reeds poking through the water here and there, the beautiful shades of blue and the lead in of the clouds towards the distant island.  It looks a beautiful and very tranquil spot and I'm really enjoying being an armchair traveller on the Rocky Mountain Express!  Kind regards, Anna

Sublime image Zuzanna. One of your very best by far. The colour blue has never looked so good. Hopefully I will manage to catch up looking around everyones galleries. But with images like this to behold I think it's going to be a long time. Love it. Rgds Alan.
